The Cross City Tunnel will be closed for scheduled maintenance commencing on the following dates:

Eastbound on 16 and 17 August from 10pm to 5am.

Westbound on 18 and 19 August from 10pm to 5am.

Maintenance works scheduled for August will involve a full closure of the eastbound or westbound carriageways over consecutive nights (i.e. only one direction will be closed for maintenance works on any one night). As a result minor disruptions to the balance of the CCT ventilation system air flow may occur. These interruptions will be infrequent and may result in unpreventable partial portal emissions (i.e. a majority of the air will continue to be discharged from the stack). Every effort will be taken to minimise the length of a portal emission.

Please note, these works have been scheduled for night periods (10pm-5am) where traffic in the live carriageway will be low, therefore air pollutant concentrations within the tunnel will be minimal.
